Capturing and preserving memories is very important to me, and I would like to share my passion with you. So, let us get started! 

STEP ONE - GET IN TOUCH

The first step is to get in touch with me by either filling out the form at the bottom of this page, phoning me at (604) 721-9400 or emailing me at kj@kayjayestudios.ca.

STEP TWO - COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

Your second step is to book your complimentary consultation. We will meet either in person, by phone or through online voice and video services (ex. Zoom, Discord, Whatsapp, and Facebook Messenger).

I would like to know your vision for the final images and discuss how you will be displaying your images. It would also be helpful if you could briefly describe your loved one so I can prepare to adapt to your loved one’s personality and needs.

STEP THREE - PHOTO SESSION

Everyone’s personality and needs are different, so I do not put a time limit on each session. The comfort of you and your loved ones is essential. If your loved one needs additional sessions, there is no extra charge. Each session is a flat rate.

Outdoor sessions starts at $250 plus GST

Indoor sessions starts at $250 plus set-up fee plus GST

Payment of the session fee is required to confirm your photo shoot. Photo session props are available. Custom props are subjected to additional fees.

LOCATION

All sessions take place in the Greater Vancouver Area and Sunshine Coast region. Travel to other destination locations is possible. Please inquire for further details.

The Greater Vancouver Area includes the City of Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, Belcarra, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Richmond, Delta, Surrey, White Rock and Langley. The travel fee is $0.75 per km to and from Steveston Hwy and No. 5 Road in Richmond, British Columbia.

The Sunshine Coast region includes Gibsons, Sechelt, Roberts Creek, Halfmoon Bay, Madeira Park, Garden Bay, Egmont and Hopkins Landing. I own property in Egmont, British Columbia and frequent my vacation property in the spring and summer, mainly from Friday to Monday. The travel fee is $0.75 per km to and from BC Ferries Earls Cove Terminal. I will try to match my schedule to your chosen session date.

STEP FOUR - GALLERY VIEWING

The meeting will be held either at my studio near Granville Island in Vancouver, through video conference or at your home. We will review your images and choose which ones you want to keep.

STEP FIVE - DIGITAL IMAGES AND PRINTS

After we decide which photos you want to keep, I will process them and have them ready for you for drop-off or pick-up.

Enjoy your photographs by purchasing prints that you can admire every day! From canvas to frames, I provide multiple options to accommodate any household!

All rescue animals receive 10% off on their sessions and prints.

I complete services voluntarily to rescue shelters by taking photos of their rescue animals to promote each animal's personality and improve their chances of adoption. If you are interested in this service, please contact me and inquire further.

Don’t have a pet but know someone who does? Why not gift them an eGift Card that can go towards a photo session for their furbaby or scalebaby?

My electronic gift cards are sent via email and can include a personalized message! This service is convenient and secure, unlike physical cards that could be lost or stolen.

FAQs

  • I would appreciate at least 24-hour notice and no more than two re-schedule requests.

  • More than 24 hours to cancel, 25% of the total session fee will be charged.

    Less than 24 hours to cancel, 50% of the total session fee will be charged.

  • Your session fee is due upon booking to reserve your session date.

    I accept payment via e-transfer to kj@kayjayestudios.ca, in-person debit or credit card and email invoice.
